Career Connections Resource Fair

Back in Motion Rehab, Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants program, will be hosting a Resource Fair for the Surrey Newcomers Employer Week. This event is targeted to offer a wealth of resources for newcomers under one platform. Organizations participating in this event are focused on assisting newcomers to align their skills with local opportunities. We expect the magnitude of this event will signal to all newcomers our joint commitment to seeing them succeed and will instill confidence for individuals seeking a starting point with their new life chapter in Canada.
Keys to Career Development for Immigrants
11:00am – 1:00 pm
A no-cost career development workshop for newcomers with practical information, advice and tips for advancing employment in their field of interest. Sessions will be delivered by inspiring immigrants who have established successful careers in Canada.
Workshop topics will include regulated and non-regulated jobs, credential evaluation, and best practices for taking advantage of networking and employment opportunities at Job Fairs. In addition, employment consultants will offer specific advice for newcomers who have worked in the following fields: Information Technology, Finance, Education and Nursing. Participants will also have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with employment consultants after the group session.
